Just back from their gig at the Odyssey. Head's splitting, legs, arms, neck and shoulders fucked but they were fucking AWESOME.

Surely Always Outnumbered... is a brilliant album? The numbers they played tonight went down a storm.
Liked some of their earlier stuff like Everybody In The Place, Voodoo People etc. and always revisit The Fat Of The Land now and then which is an ace album.
I can't say I cared much for the last one. I downloaded the MP3s for my usual pre-buy review and I lost interest past five or six listens. Didn't bother buying it and no plans to revisit the MP3s for the moment, it was a commercial flop as well wasn't it? Bad reviews and I don't recall anyone raving about the singles it produced whereas Firestarter, Breathe, Smack My Bitch Up etc. got blanket coverage and rave reviews back in the day.
A 7 year wait for a cool album title basically, nothing more...
I was a big fan of the first three albums and they played some storming shows here at Big Days Out in the late 90s. Imagine hearing them spit out Firestarter in 40C heat in front of 20,000 at their prime, I'm surprised no one died in the ruck. They said recently they were never bigger anywhere than live down here during that era.
During the New Order BDO shows here in 2002, they were a sad parody of former glories and their latest album largely sucked goats, let's be honest. But listening through their current Hits album, it reminds you that they really were a singles' powerhouse. If you get the double-disc version, listen to the Pendulum remix of Voodoo People, these are some local Perth boys who've taken drum'n'bass by storm in recent times. A belter of a remix.

Not sure why they reformed, but SPITFIRE and GIRLS are ace singles from the new LP.
Not got the new LP, but have everything else apart from Liam's mix LP.

I enjoyed Music for the jilted generation but wasn't too bothered about the rest of there stuff, they've slowly ran out of ideas i think.
I saw them at T in the park this year, didn't think they we're up to much myself.
Yeah, JILTED was a choice album. Voodoo People, Poison, No Good, 3 Kilos - all ace. A real classic.

It's allright, but some of the tracks are too long.
Last night, they did Poison and mixed it in with Diesel Power off Fat of the Land. Ace.

they did NOT split up. they did shows every year with 00 and 03 as exeptions.
I just saw them here in sweden a month ago and are going over to london for all 5 dates they have at brixton academy in december, it will be awesome. and they are indeed better than ever, all the new tracks rocks, warning, back 2 skool, wake the fuck up.
the new album next year will be amazing, for sure, since liam howlett is more creative than ever.

They played one new song, and it sound like they'd sampled the bassline of 'Killing In The Name Of' by the mighty Rage Against The Machine.

the best thing with liam howlett is that when he´s taking back old tracks in the set that haven´t been played for a long time, he remixes them, even songs he always plays like poison, firestarter, breathe, etc are remixed. Liam rules.
They should rename themselves Liam and the Leeches
