WALKING IN A ROCKET WONDERLAND MY ARSE![]()
Mornin ,live just down the a6 from ROCKET ,tis indeed a bit fresh , this thread'll get hijacked by canucks and assorted nordamericanos , who regard minus five as a safe temperature to stick one's tongue to a metal railing for a jape ... Round at Casa Mac , the porridge has been checked fer weevils and the winter muff has been given due consideration in an effort to get me ears warm .
Porridge note : taken with a good dollop of honey and nae salt . Apologies to porridge purists
Sugar AND salt for me, with a name like campbell, what ya expect. (other than treachery and a slit throat for breakfast, if you know yer clan history :( )
I love this kind of cold, still and fucking baltic, it's beautiful. But yes the moosefuckers and Jesuslanders can kick our holes on warm and cold, we're screwed by be surrounded by sea....sadly what we do excell at is, shitty...crappy horizontal precipitation that doesn't quite fit any term you know. The Eskimo's have 200 words for snow they say, I'm surprised the folks of the the northern brittish isles don't have about 1200 for rain. And don;t forget those days where we have no weather at all, just a big featureless white sheet above, and nothingness.
My GF has this thing about pissing off to spain or north africa so she can sunbathe 365.....Personally, I'm a mammal, and I would miss the cold and wind. North Central US would be great for that, lehtal summers and scarey winters....but I'd lose the plot from being too far from the sea. guess when the lottery win finally comes, I'll have to buy us seperate houses :)

that's not OCD, that's a normal healthy reflex :)
there are certain people who've pissed me around and or grifted me so much that them even making eye contact with me inside a licensed premises makes me blurt out " double vodka and redbull"

It has. It went to Bangor for the day.![]()
Today it's going to be 25 centigrade and the low will maybe be 15 or 16 :)
The past couple of days, some areas had 30 degree heat ![]()
Around 0 Celsius today here. But now snow. Just cold feet and a beginning cold in my head...
Since nobody else has, here's a Canuck complaining about the weather.
-2 celsius right now, high of +2 today, think that already happened.
Not really cold yet, just adjusting because we've had a really warm autumn. We're expecting snow tomorrow.
Oh well, that's Canada
Now that is cold. Reminds me of a winter I spent in the Mid-west. Winds coming straight down from O'canada's tundra. Just freezing
