British Sea Power bassist Hamilton was given a black eye when he became involved in a fracas with Krautrock legends Faust.

The incident happened when the two played alongside each other at the Hove Old Market in Brighton earlier this month.

Apparently, Faust frontman Jean-Herve Peron became exasperated when British Sea Power played an extended drum solo during a jamming session.

Peron allegedly confronted the band after the set, and then threw punches at Hamilton.

Bunch of minchin divas the lot of em.....fighting cos the gut played too many drums.....for once I'm with BSP as the lesser of two numpties on this one, guy from faust needs hoisted into the light riggin by his leopard skin pants.

EDIT: I just CAN'T wrap my head round this, I'm trying to imagine what would happen if some random came up to any band I;d been in and told us off because one of us got carried away...we'd just laugh at the cunt (possibly what got BSP boy smacked?) Only other band members are allowed to hand out hidings for unwarranted solos, and even then only as much violence as needed to stop said noodling, outisders should know to leave that shit like.

Seriously....Imagine Steve coming on During ACR's set in the Apollo, to complain about that sax player (not that anyone could hear him, but you know)...they'd have levelled him, and I doubt we'd have cared cos the woulda been right to do it.
