I thought that my residency here of late had just been down to my near explosive levels of excitement prior to my FINALLY gettin to see em.
but the gig was a week ago, and far from sickening me or anything, I'm now sitting with NOOL PERPETUALLY open (along with lots of other pages in fairness, but I don't really look at those, too busy here), on the Linux box....and on the Dos-Xp machine....Cubase with 2 embryonic community2 entries open in it. My bass is also online, and my synth plumbed for sound and 2 way MIDI, all the time, by virtue of Cubase being open, been many a year since I had a room so full of hot toys. Not doing any actual WORK on the tunes, too busy gabbing :)
mind you, I was fiddling with YSF earlier, and on a moment's daftness, decided to throw the few parts I already had into an orchestra module.......fuck me, no adjustments to the arrangement or anything it actually worked. Scared the piss outta me, because that sort of thing almost always stinks of 8month old mushrooms, even after someone who's baton knows more about arranging than me has had a crack at it.
I'm sorely tempted to develope a "classical" version in parallell. I might throw up a tiny burst to see if you all think I should hit delete NOW. Must check with M. Le Blanc beforehand. (they write Monsieur that way in canada too?). It may be disallowed for me to preview something I later enter.
Anyway, the point of this thread is that I've become a single purpous orgainism these last few days, and that purpous is NOOL, not NO you'll note, I barely have time for a good blast for an hour a day at the minute (and that's too much as I rarely bother my arse listening to anything but NO or me own stuff). Nope it's the community here that I'm rutted in (very nice rut tho, groove would be more apt really). I must however confess that it's partly down to the fact that i get up, and settle down somewhere, and the prospect of getting up again is not a pleasant one. An since I've got so many irons in the fire round here, the first place I sit each day is in front of my browser. If I wasn't posting here I'd be idly browsing a torrent site for 12 hours a day fighting with idiots and downloading stuff I will never EVER watch/read/hear.
