Well, maybe not, but it is important to me to sort this out:
As I may have mentioned before, there's a girl at my new place of work that I've taken quite a shine to. Put quite simply, I'm crazy about her. When she was out for a week with what turned out to be the flu, all sorts of fears about her maybe being fired or quitting kept me awake and made for one of the most miserable times in recent memory for yours truly. And with each day that I'm around her at work, I keep thinking that this is freaking awesome.
One problem: she's got a boyfriend. ![]()
So here's my problem: asking her out is "out of the question"...or is it? ![]()
The thing is, the flirting between us is great, I really feel like if she were single I'd have better than a slim chance. But she's not, and I'm afraid that if I don't just go ahead and let her know I'd like to be more than friends then I'll end up just that: "friend territory". And that is never fun ![]()
On the other hand, if I do make an attempt even though I know it's doomed to failure (because of the BF, who she's never mentioned btw...ladies, is that a sign or something?), the Time of Careless Flirting is pretty much over, because then it would be awkward. And awkward ain't much fun either ![]()
So I'm danged if I do, danged if I don't. So I'm turning to a worldwide audience of people more savvy in the ways of love and romance to ask for advice. But the Cure's official site messageboard blocked me ages ago, so I guess it's up to you guys :p
Seriously, though, any advice would be appreciated...not saying I'd listen to it, but it would be appreciated ![]()
