I won't swear to the order of these but....
Other notables....Issi noho (sometimes I think I'm the only creature on earth shoe remembers that, show about a panda that lived in some kid's garden, don't think it was actually any good tho), little blue (elephant and fountain pen), mumfy, rupert the bear, sapphire and steel, tomorrow's world (lying bastards). And how into F1 was I aged 5? I still remember the day nikki lauda had his ear BBQ'd off at the N'ring in 76, AND James hunt winning that year. My fave toy was my diecast model of his car, which I referred to not as a "hesketh racing Ford", but merely as "Hesketh", like it was my teddy bear.
I didn't see the prisoner until I was in my 20's, probably no bad thing, I'm mental enough as it is without having watched Fallout (or even "do not forsake me oh my darling") aged 13. .Nor captain scarlet until my late teens.
Oh, forgot to mention New Avengers were a huge hit with me but I didn't see too many cos it was on late or in conflict with a lame adult show. I always watch the bionic dude, but apart from "deathprobe/II" and the ones with the robots (finbots?) it always let me down.
Oh yeah...Salvage One....guy who build a moon rocket in his yard....that was my absolute No.1 fantasy.

the Eagles are the coolest ship in any Gerry Anderson show (except thunderbird2), which pretty much makes them the coolest ship ever and a cert that someone will realise they're a great idea one day (likemost of everything else in gerry's shows)

Honest. That was the full title. But for obvious reasons it was shortened to Why Don't You (but they sang the full title in the theme tune).
Indeed, how could i TOO forget the splits. AND Mr Benn, or shame on me. I managed a charity shop for a while, and if anyon around my age was in I'd silently sneak out from the back of the shop then utter "as if by magic, the shopkeeper appeared", of about 5 times I did it, oly 2 person knew WTF I was getting at, the rest just thought I was a nut job (not helped by the shop being that of a mental health charity LOL).

Maybe there were really stupid shows, and we didn;t watch them, the people who did never went on to be netziens. the last kids show I remember seeing that wasn't just bright colours, britneys tits,cheap gags, low advertising nothing too stressful to the young consumer's brain....was Probably "roger and the Rottentrolls", the first series of which was probably the MOST subversive kids show ever. I think they were told to sort it out by the next seies tho ( or the kid who wrote the first one stopped writing). Sadly I got Sky in a while ago, and don't find myself watching kids shows much any more :(
EDIT: was it just me or did EVERYONE wretch when it was kids from their part of the country on "why don't you...." (yer right about full title of course). People from here have the most bizarre habit of speaking like an air-raid siren when forced to "perfom", the pitch just goes up and down for no reason at all, and all natural inflection is swamped by it, we are the antithesis of Americans when presented with a TV camera.

My GF wrapped me Birthday pressie in clangers paper, took one look at my face when unwrapepd it, and went straight out and bought me another sheet to stick on the wall, bless her.
BTW, you misread my thing about "making shows for kids", the clangers WAS for kids, kids love knowing things adults don't and big words are cool. teletubbies is, I dunno WTF it is. Have seen other shows for much younger kids that DO make sense these days. My little nephew spends more time watching the bagpuss video me sis bought him than any current kids show (tho like me at his age, he's happer with documentaries and stuff anyway)

I didn't have a color TV set until 1989, so I didn't watch much TV until then, but these are some I remember watching:
As an adolescent, I watched a show called "On Tour" which was on a local channel. It had clips of bands playing live for an hour. I didn't start watching this until i was about 13 or 14, so I guess it doesn't count.
