Since its been nearly 20 years since this materpiece was released, does anyone know if its going to be reissued at all with a fancy booklet, extra tracks, photos etc :confused2:

highly unlikely considering label woes and Morrissey's take on the past. Would be great, though....one of my favorite all time.

I always thought it would be more than appropriate for an enterprising band to release a cover of "The Queen Is Dead" backed with "God Save The Queen" (the Pistols tune, of course) on the eve or the event of the Queen actually passing. Yes, I am a bastard :evil4:

I don't think there'll be a "special edition" release of the album next year. It's fine enough on its own :shrug:

Queen Is Dead is required listening. My only complaint with the early Smiths' catalog is the poor production and dreadful remastering.

I did hear a rumor of an upcoming Smiths box with loads of rarities slated for 2006. :thumb:

Got it Lacy.Trouble is a lot of my Smiths stuff is on vinyl or cassette.I do most of my listening in the car or sat at this computer! What do you think of the upcoming possible Marr & Roarke get together on Manchester vs Cancer? Will you be making an appearance next Jan?
