Amazing footballer on his day, though possibly a little shy in the loyalty department.

Have you read his biography? It's actually a really good read. He's a bit of a nutter but full of character.

He was a rascal during his time at Celtic but his dancing feet and goals were appreciated. :clap:

Agreed mate, went to about a dozen home games that season and the football was a joy to watch. The 3 amigos (Di Canio, Cadete and Van Hooijdonk) played their part in some of the best attacking football i've ever seen from a Celtic side. The sublime piece of skill at Pittodrie on Boxing Day was one of the best goals i've ever seen. Ultimately their failure to beat Rangers even once that season cost us the league and Tommy Burns his job. It was at the end of that season when Di Canio revealed he had a "leetle problem" with Fergus McCann over money. Suffice to say Fergus never backed down and after refusing to play for the club he was "traded" with Sheffield Wednesday's Regi Blinker. :nonono: Fantastic footballer but an absolute nutcase.
