James were the best live band around,Do you think there will be any reunion gigs from them?They were fantastic...

i did see Tim Booth live at v-2004,he was good that day,played some of the James singles..

Fcuking great band! Was a bit gutted when Tim Booth left and even though the rest of them vowed to carry on, you sort of knew they wouldn't be able to. I don't think Booth's solo career has done much (a stalled single or something) so perhaps a James reunion tour/album may well be on the cards.

Millionaires is my favourite James album and instantly reminds me of getting the bus to college every day back in 2000-01. It's one of my favourite albums of all time really. Pleased To Meet You was a good effort too but got unfairly panned in the music press at the time which probably compounded Booth's decision to leave. Cheers music press! 
The song "I know what I'm here for"was all about Booths decision to leave the band...Booth has 2 solo albums out..I bought the first one...Shite without the rest of the band,I have to say...I think Tim dissappeared up his own arse...I wish they did carry on,I loved the bastards

I'd heard so little about Booth's solo stuff I didn't know he even had 2 albums out. I think I saw one full price (£17.99) Booth album in an indie record store but could not be arsed shelling out that much. I just kept thinking "it won't be as good as James", from what you're saying that was on the money!
They should just reform, I don't think there's even a quarter of the animosity between them as there is between The Smiths (who will never reform!) plus the rest of the band must be sitting around twiddling their thumbs waiting for Booth to get his patchy solo career out of his system.

I heard 2 of them are twiddling there thumbs in Strangeway's Prison,for GBH..Tho that could be 2 of the original menbers,because the altered the line up of the band a little along the way..The never struck me as thugs tho
One Man Clapping 88'was their last great lp, but saying that i saw them on every tour since then (bar M'Boro Town Hall spring 97') Bollocks all chance of them getting their shit together again. It was nice to see Larry G turn up tho on X-mas 01 farewell tour.

i was in blackpool going to see embrace and we walked past where James were playing, the ticket tout offered to swap our embrace tickets for james tickets, my brother said no, i was fucking gutted. looking back i should've stood my ground Embrace we're fucking garbage, they still do the same routine today as back then and that was about 6 yrs ago.

What a bastard...Embrace were shite when I saw them as well,Kasabian(the support band)were far better.James were sublime when I seen them play at Newcastle!:D
i walked past the back of the crowd at the main stage at T in the park when Embrace we're playing it was so dull it was unbelievable, my pals who i went with wanted to watch em, fucking shite, even though they're local lads i just can't support 'em at all,
When played Live, Ring the Bells was far superior to anything they ever did. Actually, they were a much better live band then they ever were in the studio.

saw tim on his "bone" tour, james twice - they were always at my polly when i was a student. another band to use a melodica.
tim played a couple of james songs still, but not the obvious ones.
had some bloke do a mime interpretation of james stuff as support!
