I'm going Christopher, tickets purchased yesterday

So it doesnt. Anyway, surely you see the point?

If you do get the DM forum, then the best place to look whats known as the "Tour Forum" there you'll find plenty of information about people going to all sorts of depeche mode gigs.

I'd love to be going but sadly for me, I won't be; it's too expensive what with finding places to stay etc. Why can't we have a Belfast gig? (Liam, I know you don't like the city much but it's as far as I can go.)

We managed to do the orb in dublin for tickets plus about 30 quid. travelled by train and 4 of us shared a 4 bed dorm in a pretty cool hostel, just off and over a bit from the top of O'connel street.

then again....I suspect DM tickets may be terrifyingly pricey in themselves.

Looking forward to seeing the MEN Arena gig in Manchester. And I like Dublin!! They never let me buy a drink all night when I went over...which was good,because I had no fcuking money anyway!!

Me and Mick stayed there for the RHCP gig at Phoenix Park.

DM only cost £38.

Last time they played here was for the Music For The Masses tour. They played Maysfield.

Before that, it was the Ulster Hall.

The MFTM tour? Was that in '87? I was only six back then! The Ulster Hall would probably still be a good venue for them. If it ever happens I'll be first in the queue for tickets.

Its not a bad wee hostel, used to be a recording studio didn't it. Stayed in there for the Morrissey concert in 2004.

My mate is just driving down, its a pity because I wouldn't have minded heading out in town for a few beers after the gig.

Must say, since the smoking ban, it is a fantastic experience to sit in a bar in Dublin. Nothing quite like it.

Do you remember how far it is from the Point, and can you walk to it easily enough?

Na its not that far, probably a 20 minute walk. The Hostel and the Point are both on the Northside of the Liffey.
