Digital! You are a bad influence on me.
Tesco- Lea Valley 36 check outs, but wait......... was in Borehamwood the other day and they are not numbered, asked sked a lady who was a manager there and she counted them for me- 31, but there are 4 "do it yourself checkouts". How sad is that?
Glad you're back!
DIY checkouts? the ones where you put the 5 p baked beans thru 139 times hold up a bug receipt for all to see and dander out with all your smoked salmon and shit? MY tesco is too far away. Have to shop at fuckin walmart (asda) very reasonable austraian shiraz tho, and a nice SA white in the fridge for later.
May purchase my christmass dvd recroding machine in tesco alos as they have an excellent model at a most reasonable price....even tho it's made by ppl I never heard of....probably round the corner from Maya actually :P

They are- except when you hit a problem. "there is an unidentified item in your bag" then it all goes fucked up and staff come rushing over- all the other customers look at you as if you're thick!
I'm wary of scanning 2 for the price of one items through the self serve tils. That always seems to throw a spanner in the works .And when it accepts your item but then says remove from belt or 'unauthorised item on belt'.
The good thing at the moment is most shoppers round my way are still put off by them which means there's never that much of a queue .

Agreed! is a good idea. obvously, it has it's faults, and is not perfect, but works most of the time- bit like men

I beleive he was...hence I leapt to you defense, like a chivalaric knight of old, with the rapier of my wit as my weapon.
And called him a crim and a barby owner
Not my finest work, tho i did get an ozzy (possibly Ron?) with something about pigeons being a much less horrible blight on Australia than Australians were...some daysyou better than other ( and I did say that with one of those Tony wilson "i'm a cunt, smack me" faces on).
