From what I can remember (it's been awhile!) The Electric Company was the cooler of the two. Though I loved Sesame Street so I can't choose!
My first ever single was a duet with Big Bird & Super Grover.
It never got any better than that.
(Barney & Hooky come close....but failed)
used to watch Sesame Street... never really got into Electric company, maybe i missed out
around five years ago i watched Sesame Street while watching my niece, thought the show was pretty cool. Elmo is really cute and funny... but creepy Mr. Noodle frightened me, he seems like some kind of possible child molesting pervert to me... WTF!
the death of mr. hooper ended it between me and sesame street. i don't think they show re-runs of the electric company, do they?
After it was decided to have the character of Mr. Hooper die after the death of actor Will Lee (rather than re-cast the role or simply write out his character), a child psychologist was brought in to help the writers. The show where his character's death was announced was scheduled for a public holiday and was publicized in many newspapers (so parents could be present to answer any questions their children might have). It was also seen as important not to say that Mr. Hooper died in hospital as it was seen as potentially making children scared of going to a hospital.
Must be the red staters votin' for it. How can anyone pick Sesame Street over The Electric Company? Electric Company is way cooler. ![]()
