Just me, bro, mum and dog. Dog joined us at the table a couple of years ago(maybe last year)...no shit, we looked round and there he is ON A CHAIR...not going nuts at the food on the table....just sitting there waiting for his fookin plate. My ma was about to bater the poor bastard, but I told her to wind her neck in cos it was Christmas for him too....so we stuck a paper hat on his head and gave him a plate with some of the less choice bits of meat and some stuffing. He Ate it like a friggin poodle (he's mainly a Lab, but when asked what he is, the only anser I can accurately give is "black"...and he is NOT known for his eating manners in general). He then consumed a small bowl of custard (while we were still on our main course....I only told me mum to let him stay, not grant the bastard special dispensations), engaged in a fairly futile attempt at pulling a cracker with me, before the indignity of the paper hat finally wore him down and he legged it....didn't even ask to be excuse, OR offer to help with the dishes.
If anyone's getting all precious about a dog at the dinner table....twas a one off, I don't share my cornflakes with him in the morning or anything...and while he was there he did not fart, cough, sneeze (his party trick is a full face sneeeze...wanker...especially since I wear glasses), puke or lick his bollox.
