It is a fantastic film.

Always meant to watch the Norwegian original, as it is apparently much darker.

Ahhh there's only half an hour left.I think i'd heard it was good but i've been watching Ring Of Bright Water til just 20 mins or so ago.It came as a free DVD with some newspaper the other week. Not how i remembered it as a kid.I remembered it as when Midge get's killed that's the end.But it wasn't quite.Still at least i didn't cry this time like i did when i was 5:cry:

The original version is better (but they usually are). Criterion has a good DVD of it.

Yeah i guess i remembered it as the end for the same reason.Once the Otter died i must have been in a state of shock for the remainder of the film and hence it stuck in my mind as the end of the film.
