If you take the race baiting glasses off and think about it the theme of the original Planet of The Apes is civil rights. People often forget and in no part due to Charles Heston's NRA tinkering that he did many movies and was an advocate of the civil right's movement. Look at Spartacus. So in PLanet of the Apes a white man finds himself chained up and enslaved with others of his kind despite having the same intellectual capabilities of his masters. But of course we cannot discuss this without one of us being called a racist. That was wal-Mart's mistake unless some dumbaass cracker player hater linked the MLK to the Apes just to piss off blacks.

I have to say, it's a bit of a stretch to link "Apes" to Heston's civil-rights activities. I'm guessing someone along the line of command thought this up either as a joke or a blatant racist thing, and it got caught before anyone in charge figured it out

What stretch?? The entire movie is about racism. But should it be linked to a film about MLK? No because the non-thinking masses will overreact not seeing the connection. Maybe this is why Socrates refused to write and Plato used rhetoric instead of directly telling the truth.
