Your vote is as good as mine... we have just been in elections 18 months ago but since no party managed to win a majority, here we go again... :nonono:

Paul Martin is our current Prime Minister, been minister of finance prior to this, but his party, the Liberals, had corruption scandals all around.

Stephen Harper is the Conservative guy (Tory)... speaks french like an idiot and looks like a Ken doll with a broom stick in the arse.

Gilles Duceppe is for the Bloc Québécois... praising independance of Quebec.

Jack Layton is the New Democratic Party, the one that is at the left side of the political spectrum...

So, who would YOU pick? :evil4:

Stick with the current guy. A good corruption scandal is what keeps politics ticking...

That's for sure.

The best part was our president calling him Prime Minister Poutine.

I see the resemblence myself ;)

Mind you, when I was working with the NDPs it was during Poutine's reign so I don't know too much about Martin et. al.

Oversimplified version:

*He* didn't really do anything as far as I can tell. The Liberal Party has been involved with some kickbacks etc, and then in Nov there was a no confidence vote because Liberals are appearently immoral for receiving kickbacks.

(Even though it's moral when everyone else does it? Or maybe just because they don't get caught?)

Anyway, so now there is another election to see who won't take kickbacks (;)) and the Tories are probably going to pull it out, which is the final nail in the cofin of nationalized health in the Great White North

Jack Clayton - I've never seen him before, neither do I know his political platform, but I rather like his mustaches. Should be fine for you, Canadians! Go and vote

thanks for this. i hope the canadians think twice before they vote in the conservatives, and go down the economic rationalism road.
