Yeah, anybody at a bank as a netscape.net email address

Worst thing is, those people are getting good, more and more they find personal stuff about you... I saw a tv show recently where a woman lost 40 000$ sending money to Africa for a fake heritage, worst part is, her bank said it was legit and they loan her money to do it... and now they are claiming her the money...

Ah... it's so confusing. You have to forgive me. I'm all alone waiting for my wife. Drinking my evening cup of tea with cookies. Listening to 12" version of Rapper's Delight

Ronald, are there German communities in Australia, where you live? Do you belong to them, or you have estranged yourself from that cultural element?

the german communities in Oz well there is an interesting topic. there are the post war migrants who belong to german clubs and choirs etc, however their children tend to blend into australian society.

then there are the old german lutherans who migrated here some 160 years ago, it is the lutheran chuch of australia that still binds them together. a former g f's grandparents still spoke native australian german, and we could converese in german.

this german is maily still found in the wine growing areas of south australia, such as the barossa valley. there are also areas of country victoria, new south wales, and queensland where if you go there the population is 80% lutheran and they all have german surnames. the younger generations don't speak german anymore, but they still largely tend to marry with their lutheran communities, other than that you could not really tell them apart from anglo australians.

this does not apply to catholic germans who migrated to oz, as they often married with the irish and got aborbed into maistream oz society much quicker.

I hope that answers your question,

I'm 100% convinced that they do - I only get this sort of spam on the e-mail address listed on NOOL - and before I changed my address, the old address listed here used to be plagued with spam as well. Same people, same scams.

There is a great website called Scamorama that lists scams like "Lotto Win" "Deceased Estates" etc, hilarious stuff. I highly recommend you add this site to your "Favourites" list for future reference.
