Awesome live, I was lucky enough to see them support electronic at the Glasgow Barrowlands in 91, and their stand out track that night for me was "Keep on Pushen"

That's probably the track called 24-24, from The Crackdown, also featuring the great title track and Just Fascination.

yeah it was also remixed on the Western Reworks remix album in the early 90s i think. I was looking for the bastard in my collection and the usual cani find it.

I saw them many times, had a great night at the Kentish Town & Country Club. I saw Orbital support them to In Ladbroke Grove too in the very early 1990s.
I'm afraid I can't keep my selection down to just five...

Forty-seven quid for 'used' on Amazon...
Almost all my Cabaret Voltaire collection, including Code is on vinyl and with the 12x12" New Order release due soon, I think it's time to buy a turntable!
Code, IMO, is not as good as their earlier material. they had too many outside producers/remixers on that album diluting their sound.
If I had to pick a favourite, it would probably be 'The Covenant the Sword and the Arm of the Lord'
I really need a copyt of Arm of the Lord. Had it on vinyl but it failed to make the transition when I went to CD about 1988.

Yeah, that Western Reworks album was from 92, and rework is a good title for indication of contents, they don't really sound much like the original versions. Still a good album I like to play once in awhile though. Not too sure if it's still in print though.
What the hell was the Arm Of The Sword-era track that was a mash of tunes from the album, and most the changes were abrupt, called. Thinking it was called C.O.M.A., will check it out, all I can remember about it was it was the only Cab track I didn't listen to the whole way through. Maybe hard to believe with some of their output, but true still....
Also, don't know if anyone's picked up the Conform To Deform 3-disc box set yet, but it does feature a quote from Bernard Sumner about the Cabs, a good one noting that "industrial music has been replaced by industry music".
I'm a fan but lean towards their more accessible stuff:

Last I heard of Stephen Mallinder(or Mal) is that he was living in West Oz doing some low-key dance tracks and dance event promotions around other parts of Australia. Any other members of the Oz Order got any of this stuff on vinyl/CD(Ku-ling Brothers I think was the name of the collective he was in here)or know of him doing any promoting of dance music events here lately?
Yeah, a good thing to remember the cabs. there were so long around doing great stuff. Going through different phases. I see you' ve mentioned more the older stuff. Their last period was the one mal stopped singing, they were just releasing instrumentals (with some sampled voices,yes) like...

Yeah apparently he done an album with Shaun Ryder recently as well, cant remember the name of the project though.

i read an article somewhere with Kirk mentioning that Mallinder had minimal involvement with the final 3 albums. they were essentially Kirk solo works.
Kirk still releases a lot of albums. i can't keep up.

yeah he still works under alsorts of pseudo names ie Electronic Eye, Sandoz, Nitrogen, RH Kirk ect ect, theres another fucker but I cant remember the name, it begins with a T
for everything Cabaret Voltaire and Richard H. Kirk
most of Kirks albums are now available on iTunes - check out Kirks site
I seem to be in the minority here, but my favorite Cabs material is from their early period. Especially the box set "Methodolgy - The Attic Tapes." Of course, I am an industrial/noise guy.
