the name rings a bell but only coz of Wilson Philips who had that fat girl singer who lost all the weight.

A northerner has no excuse for not knowing Wilson, his music was exactly the sort of thing that kicked northern soul into life.

I for one believe you. This reminds me of 1995 when I went to his gig thinking I wouldn't know any of his songs. Turned out I recognised most of his songs being essential classics of soul. Still can't name any of them mind.

It's like the Drifters. I got dragged kicking and screaming to one of their shows, not having a clue about who they were. Turns out i knew 90% of their stuff.
