Despite my protestations that the age of 44 has brought me enlightenment and understanding , tonight several folk pointed out that I hold grudges , one used the expression ' hold the cat to the sun ' a new term to me but quite evocative nonetheless .
My peers pointed out that even now if I see Mr S Th.... of Little Hulton ( where I grew up ), my demeanour changes , face like thunder etc , and I tell all in earshot about the day the cunt took me legs from under me in a local Sunday league game and how I swear I will have vengence in this life or the next ( probably the next, the Mac footie legs are now only available in old sepia photos ).
I conceded they had a point.
Anyone else harbour more grudges than lonely highcourt judges ?
This particular one of mine clocks in at about 25 years, others a mere coupla years ![]()
