The Cult to reform!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like Ian Astbury's gonna milk both his Doors ripoff gig and The Cult at the same time.

Both bands are now managed by the same guy (Tom Vitorino) and the first date has been leaked for The Cult's upcoming slate of shows. The 1st announced show is at The Key Club @ Morongo (and indian gaming casino in Cabazon, CA) on 03/05/06.

Apparently, they're going to be touring in support of either (another) retrospective box set or some sort of "special edition" resissue version of either The Love or Electric albums. No new studio album is in the works, especially after they got royally ripped off in their one album deal with Atlantic for their last album. From what's being rumored, it's not going to be a major affair and there's only a small number of shows in North America being considered depending on interest.

quite nice news, but thats a pity there is no new songs,I still have to listen to old ones

I had no idea.

Not a big fan, as you might understand. Have 2 or 3 old albums, but I don't like the singers voice. Every song starts out pretty cool, but I lose interest after 45 seconds.
