Big Sam would be good, but Curbs is the man for me. He doesn't court controversy ever, and is clean as whistle. we need someone the media can't bury, as the media seems to be arguably the biggest obstacle to us winning the World Cup.
Anyone who says Stuart Pearce gets a good kick in the balls.
I quite like what Sam has done for Bolton and I'm too tired to think so he gets my vote.
no idea, but give it to a naitive englishman. there must be a more than enough former players who are well qualified. somebody who is far enough revoved from the current players, but is held in high regard by them.
I would like (ex soap dodger) Martin O Neill (serious) I think he is a great manager and would earn players respect.

Hiddink would certainly be my preferred choice. There's a vast difference between club management (and none of those listed above have ever won anything at club level, let alone international club level) and international management. Quite simply, there isn't an English candidate with the track record of success, and I would be very unwilling to gamble on an up and coming manager. It only needs be an appointment for 2 tournaments, a Euro and a World, but Hiddink would be the man for me.

we all know what the team will be, barring injuries etc. the players know too. just needs a coach who can get the message across at half time when the chips are down. the rest is down to the players.

Thats why Pearce or even Big Sam would be my choice, someone to bully the lazy gits into action, just a 2 month contract in the summer, huge win bonus, then get a long term manager afterwards.

I have no real dirt on Big Sam.. He did take on Alan Green recently on Radio 5 Live which was ill advised.. No biggie though. As I said, he'd be fine, but I would prefer Curbs.

Yip, thats doing the rounds here too. Current manager is Ted Dimitru who's a Romanian, 69 years old and wears the thickest lenses you ever did see. They're currently playing in the African Cup of Nations in Egypt - opening 'banker' game against Guinea they lost 2-0 so bye bye Ted. Previous manager was Stuart Baxter, an Englishman and Carlos Queiroz (Man U) has also had the job. Generally they leave after a year or so out of sheer exasperation...

Ok if you wanna split hairs - 'Tinpot Charlton' are unbeaten at Stamford Bridge this season unlike everyone else who's played Chelski there in the Premiership. I'll also add that 'Tinpot Charlton' are the only team to have beaten Chelski in any competition at Stamford Bridge since Mourinho took over.
