Manowar: the gayest straight band in the world?

Well both bands posess bassplayers with no clue as to the correct number of strings and even less as to how to play nice.
Manowar's BP has an 8 string "picollo" bass.
MAN O WAR!!!! thease guys used to play in the early 80's in a little Dump near where i grew up called "the Playlounge"
i never saw them play but they look like one of the gayest bands ever, i know their songs are about valhalla and warriors and vikings & crazy things like that
oh and the singer or guitar player was called "ross the boss"
those are some truly worrying images. are they from the present, or from the early eighties?

I think they're from the 80's, but they still use those kind of images today.
