it is a very unusual show to say the least, especially for an american show. it is about a cirus in the 1930s, and all its freaks. the nearest i can compare it to in feel is twin peaks. second series on now here. highly recommended. it is bit of a struggle today juggling the tennis, cricket, and carnivale.
anyone watch carnivale?

It's on my list of things that need to be watched... but at the moment there's too much bloody good TV on!!!
Whoever complained about there being nowt good on the box must now be truly sorry... be careful what you wish for... there aren't enough hours in the day!
P.S. I think Carnivale is being cancelled after season 2... That's another problem when too many good shows compete for airspace...

four more shows then. lost series two commences next week. oz tv is waking up from its summer slumber.
Lost, Desperate Housewives (not as good this season) and the world shagging BATTLESTAR GALACTICA are my top 3... Then I also have to squeeze in the routine Corries + Celeb Big Bro just finished... then there's Most Haunted in the UK which I also like and all those other new sci-fi shows... some of which are UK based that I haven't had a peek at like 11th Hour, Hyperdrive and that 70's cop thing.... + Dr.Who will be back on soon!
Agh!!!!!!!!! Keep me away from the box!!!!!!!!
Thank God for the invention of the DVD box set though... ( talking of which the last series of Blakes 7 will be out soon!
) .

i never really got into the housewives, but i am looking forward to battle star galactica, and er, which i have watched since series one. we will also get the second series of the new doctor who soon. our abc has just about finished showing all the surviving old episodes. somehow they aren't as good as i remember them.
Housewives is pretty funny and you don't have to be a woman to appreciate it... unlike Sex and The City which I never ...penetrated...
I would recommend Battlestar to everyone; you don't need to be a geek to 'get' it.
criminal intent is back this week as well. now all i need is csi back, but they probably won't put that on until after the cricket is finished.
Carnivale is one of the best TV (mini) series i have ever seen, However, the first series just left me confused as to what was going on, i just watched it for the visuals really, but the second series? I finally understand what it's all about: the battle between "good" and "evil", but Sophie ending up as a housemaid in the priests house? To convenient for my taste, but i will keep watching it. I have to find out what happens to Ben, and to see if he really is the so-called "Prince".
watched the first series but missing the current ABC offering due to work commitments. Still good then...
