Seems to me, he's done fuck all since scoring that goal against Greece.

Does he deserve the captaincy?..Should it be handed over to Stevie Gerrard or even Mr Lampard? With the dearth of quality midfielders in this country, does he deserve a place anymore?

discuss, please

in common wiuth a lot of media slut sports persons, he forgot he's famous for being a footballer, and think's he's famous for being something important in and of himself.....therefor he spends his time wearing skirts, buying red Italian cars and generally avoiding doing any football.

Which of these have you seen in papers... "Becks get's caught knobbing vacuous slut who can't control something as simple as a mobile phone" "becks wears skirt" "Becks rows with stick insect cunt of a wife" "becks in heavy practice sessions"

Look at your woman pornakova..... wins a coupla tennis games, realises an inorinate number of males are watching winbledon so decides to be a famous hottie (mass produced wank material for teenage boys and sad old men) instead. Seen her win much of late? kimi Raikonen had 2 years in a Mclaren-merc and didn;t win the WDC Lbecause he was too busy running round niteclubs with his cock out.

You see tha pattern?

Beckham showed a dedication to his profession that we can only dream about.

While 90% of the country wanted to hang him after France '98 he stuck with it and came through a better player. You wanted to leave this site after a joke about badges...go figure.

The guy gave me 6 years of quality entertainment.

Ask Kirsty Howards parents what they think of Beckham.

grrrrrr :evil2:

however, a valid point, well made (git :D ) Tho it was the personal attacks rather than the jokes.

See....if I DIDN'T have to see him doing all that smeggy media crap it wouldn't bother me. And also as I've said before, i don't understand why Sven gets the blame and gets sacked, but players who cannot play football stay on. Obviously I say this from the point of view of one who has little knowlege of Footy, but on the ocasions when this situation has happened in my sport (F1) it's been a joke.....

The finest example was Ferarri through the mid-late 80's and early 90's..... they couldn't win cup for having the redest car...... So the great commendatori Enzo, fired Claudio Lombardi (who had headed Lancia's Gp B program, hardly a failure), then Ceasare fiorrio.... and STILL they'd have been better off hiring Kevin Keagan, because at least then there would have been SOMETHING in the team that could take a corner (trombone slide and drum hit please). They were trying to treat a sore foot with an arm sling....the car and the plebs in it were the problem.

FWIW I watched a very interesting thing one night about the physics of football, and one part of it was to do with DB's extraordinary set-piece play. His contrl in free kicks and so on is exceptional. However, I stand by it..... he should spend less time media whoring and more time being a footballer. And of course he has my undying eternal sympathy for his unfortunate choice of woman. (women actually).

Don't worry lads, come the summer I'll get all footy happy for the WC it's always worth watching :D

Maybe at international level he can be a little bit below par a little too often, but for Real Madrid hes been superb or every time i've watched them anyway.

Michael owen must be pissed off that he got kicked out of there for the sack of shit that is julio baptista.

Real Madrid is a club of pre-retired football players of the hall of fame who, it seems, had looked for a golden parachute... England's captain is there because he used to be your star. France's also and many more I think...

One last international competition as Captain (as to thank them a last time) and changes after Germany. They all will be off football very soon anyway...

here, here! he is easily the best player in the squad atm. Always tracking back and covering the defenders. As for Baptista I'm glad Arsenal never got him, now :) And to think Wenger sold Vieira cos he thought he had him!

Easily the best player in the squad at the moment?.. I have to disagree.

His last two major tournaments have been poor. In Japan he was well below par mainly due to a rush to fitness job on a metatarsal.

And in Portugal, he missed a vital penalty against France, which would have changed our position in the group from 2 to 1. You never know we might've won it.

and pigs might fly.

Wasnt it more to do with his Merc engine crying enough 2 laps into every session?

My apologies duroc.

The thread was really aimed at the England side of things, as the post suggested.

Real are largely rudderless these days, and I wouldnt be surprised if a very average Arsenal turn them over shortly in the Champions League.

I don't think Kornakova has ever won a tennis match. I read somewhere that she has a record of never winning a single one. Perhaps she's just famous for being hot.

Hmmmm... but hell, Anna was damn fine to look at, and never got selected for the female equivalent of the Davis Cup.

She did win quite a few matches, rose into the top 16. She even made a final once i believe, however, she never won a tournament.

I'm gonna have a Kournikova/Sharapova threesome dream tonight now.
