I'll try to translate an article I found somewhere, which is some kind of funny.
As you might or might not know, one of the most "popular" invention of the last 2 years in North America is Canadian and is called the BlackBerry.
The company (Research In Motion) doing the BlackBerry is in court in the US because a "ghost" company called NTP own a patent for that concept, but never actually developped it.. I read in another article that many companies in the US do that, they patent an "idea" just in case somebody does it and they can cash in later...
If the court says yes to NTP, BlackBerry will be illegal in the USA (only there)...
Well, believe it or not, the justice department of the US does support a canadian company instead of an american company on this!
The DOJ said it's a question of national security because they all own one BlackBerry ;)
