bLuE oRdEr's...erm, Comrade's latest dental adventure:
A few days ago, I was having a midnight snack of sundried tomatoes whilst watching some TV. Well, one of the tough little buggers made my molar a little sensitive after chewing. Not sure what that was about...Impacted molar? Don't know. But anyway, it's been sensitive, and the surrounding gum became enflamed, so I was getting a little concerned last night. Checked my wallet-- nope, still no money. Checked my cabinets: yep, rakija on the shelf.
What is rakija, you ask? It's Serbian brandy. Everybody in Serbia distills the stuff at home, and it's strong stuff. So a Serb friend of mine visited about 2 years ago, and brought a bottle of home-distilled rakija as a gift. Never darnk it, because Comrade don't drink nothing stronger than water. Sometimes soy milk. Occasionaly shampanya. It's a new, health-conscious Comrade we're talking about here.
So I retrieved the bottle of rakija from the uppermost shelf, took a swig, and rinsed my gums with it, just in case infection was setting in. Spit, and...Holy fucking shit! The vapors alone would knock over a horse. Took another swig, same routine, and vapors again. The entire inside of my mouth had gone numb by this time. Just like with cocaine. Not that Comrade knows anything about that, but he's heard. Never had my mouth go numb from alcohol before.
Next day: Problem solved (or nearly so)!
Dentists-- who needs 'em? Send Maya with more rakija. And some exciting underwear.
