Face Transplant

Was watching that on the news earlier about the woman in France who got a face transplant after being mauled by a dog.God, how could you live, psychologically, with someone elses face? That would take some counselling

Mind you, if you looked like Robert Smith.....

I have been tracking this story since I heard about it. It's amazing what modern medicine can do.

does anyone actually know just how different her face looks? I mean it still has to fit over the same bone structure, and thus would have much the same shape, wouldn't it? then again there are things like the shape and size of the mouth ,lips, eyes, nose, etc, which are unique to each individual.

I wish her all the best, she has been through a lot

Amazing! Watching FACE/OFF now won't seem so much a fantasy.....well apart from surviving a boat crash and flying through the air that is.

Actually she should look pretty similar to how she did (apart from the scar obviously). The 'face' that was transplanted was just soft tissue (skin, nerves, etc.) and as it is being connected to her bone structure she shouldn't look too different.
