To any of you who are awaiting little prezzies from me, or who have been awaiting my humble thanks for prezzies dispatched hither........

The main post sorting office in Belfast is on strike (unless they went back yest) and has been for about 2 weeks.

Basically, everything any of you are waiting on is rotting up there. If anyone HAS gotten anything from me in the last week or so.....sing out please.

It's cool in a way....I can pretend that all the lovely NOOLettes sent me lots of valentine cards and that evil striking postal workers have stolen them cos they are sad :D

If you recieve any post that was sent over four days ago, you can claim a tenner for compensation.

Postwatch said letters need to arrive at least four days after they were sent for people to be entitled to any money. If an item is posted first class on Monday, this should arrive on Tuesday. Arrival on Saturday or later would trigger compensation.

A first class letter taking 11-16 days to arrive should entitle the customer to £10 per letter while second class must be 13-18 days late.

How to claim:

Keep envelope of the letter when it finally arrives.

Go to Post Office and ask for a P58 form

Fill it in and hand it into the Post Office.

Your £10 will be sent to you, by post!

That'd be me waiting. I hope you can truly claim on each one - it'll recoup some loss on the good deed. :evil4:
