Perfect end-credits song for a movie? :music:

I am taking a muy pequeno break from my Spanish studies (and amazed at how much I'm actually comfortable with), and thought I'd ask what song you think would serve as the perfect end-credits song to play over a movie (ideally one that you haven't heard at the end of a movie yet).

My vote would be "After Hours" by the Velvet Underground, it's probably not long enough for the entire credits sequence but it's my fave Mo Tucker vocal performance and definitely has a nice "indie film" quality to it

And yes, I realize a lot of my more recent threads have been about film. Go figure that I started finally taking Film seriously, now I can't get away from it

I always thought Doves' Firesuite would be a neat way to end a movie, if only for that reverbed-out guitar bit at the end. Atmospheric.

Have to admit that hearing Just Like Honey at the end of Lost In Translation sent a chill down my spine when watching it in the theater.

For ones that already are,the best are IVY's "I Think Of You" of the end of Shallow Hal,and NO's "Here To Stay" off 24HRPP and Underworld's "Born Slippy" off Trainspotting. The ones that aren't...well Cocteau Twins' "Pur",Cabaret Voltaire's "Twanky Party" (or is it at the end of Salvation,don't know,haven't seen it)

Same here, what an awesome last scene that was. I reckon Dig by Mudvayne would be a good closer - send people home with ringing ears.

as for the best ending song in a film that i've already seen, it's no contest: the soldiers singing the theme song from 'the mickey mouse club' at the end of full metal jacket.

however, 'god only knows' by the beach boys at the end of boogie nights, 'just like honey' in lost in translation and 'adagio in g minor' by albinoni at the end of gallipoli deserve honourable mentions.

'the universal' by blur 'he's on the phone' by st. etienne 'people get ready' by curtis mayfield and the impressions and almost anything by air
