Apart from to protect Mike from his own stupidity for wanting to do it (when it doesn't exaclty seem to be placing too big a demand on Pope's time), there doesn't seem to be a single objection to this happening.

If you think he'll be shit at it, or not take it seriously, what do you have to lose by giving him a go? I feel sure that he will fill the role perfectly, join in as a non-moderator when one is not required and excersise control sensibly when it is required.

If this is not the case, I promise to place my full backing to the "Get rid of Mike" campain. And you know what a pain in the arse I can be!
