If anyone thinks this is a good idea...just send NO a quid ( that's about what they'll get out of an album's sale).

that way the rest of us won't have to listen to the same old song, with a bit of echo panned rear so the twats can say it's 5:1 lOL. They really should NEVER EVER pull such a rip off. They wanna impress me? record the WHOLE next album in a 5:1 capable studio.

Agreed totally. And Heavens know that i jump on every release our Lads put out (well, even if it's Warner in some cases)even tough a got everything essential 'bout Them... But yeah, a don't reckon that NewOrder would EVER do that, it's the complete opposite of what they are and stand for. I'm not afraid. By the way, i quite like Depeche a lot and got those CD's they re-sell under the Remaster / SACD-DVD editions, and i'm not falling on such notice, there's no interest whatsoever and every Depeche fan should ignore that, unless they don't own those already. Hope they don't... I've actually started replacing my NO cassettes with vinyl (!), partly because I hate the reissued CDs, nothing to do with the sound, just the artwork and feel of the London versions are rubbish compared to the original Factory issues... And they are gauaranteed to fuck up the reissues as well - we'll be having the whole Mesh vs Cries & Whispers debate with a whole new generation of fans... The Durutti Column reissues on Factory Once were a joke - no 'proper' artwork, lots of tracklisting errors, etc. All the opportunities we've had to finally get 'rareities' on compilations, have been wasted, so chances are 'bonus' tracks would end up being the same old mixes again... No, no, no...

Just for the record, it was the idea of having rarities with a remastered album.. I don't care about 5.1 or SACD or anything else...

I'd prefer a USB device with the songs in a loseless format if it was just me!

I still wonder what the industry is waiting, gee.. it can't be that hard to do a USB album with ROM memory on it...

I think most surround sound systems sound like crap. Speakers are never positioned right the room is never dead enough(in the audio sense LOL), too much delay etc. If you want good separation just buy a pair of nearfield monitors and position them correctly. If the record was recorded well there shouldn't be a problem with the way it sounds.
