Im confused to fook i am! I have a desktop pc with BT cable broadband. I av' just got a new wireless/infrared type laptop.

What do i need so i can use my laptop 'on the throne' but also use my pc on t'internet but wireless as well? Do i av' to sign up for another ISP or can i use same (wanadoo)

I gather i need a router modem thingy with an adapter that goes into the side of my pc & laptop.

Any help would be class cause im a thick twat with computers & this muppet from Dixons just confused me even more!

Geezer in Dixons knows fuck all too, he just had a half hour course on how to sell 1200 quid gaming machines to grannies.

Get a wireless router that has at least four slots for pcs and XBox's ect. Plug your broadband into the router. You do not need separate isp IPs unless you want to be in some online game with two machines at the same time. Most ISPs will charge like $5 USD per month for a second IP and you need some additional hardware.

I have two pcs and one XBox on one router. Not wireless.

Yeah we got the young 'un a computer of her own at Xmas.Bit of a ball-ache getting the right router,though. PC WORLD were shite,trained to look blank at you,say I don't know,and serve someone else! Two different types of router apparently,one for BT and one if you're on cable like NTL.They're about £70-£90 from Maplins or Currys.
