pretty cool but..

playing a separate virtual synth for each string on your guitar from a GK-2A..

the sound is bollocks, but the technology to be able to do it....

as well as simultaenously going through a Gr-33 (2 voice) synth...and the natural guitar sound going through a GS-10. That's 9 instruments played in one strum.

err, and some GS-10 patches emulate 2 voices. Fuck it 10!

Only ever played a midi'd guitar once, a casio one....fookin lovely, worth the money without the midi, lovely guitar.

See my problem, and I'm not alone...is that there is no performance aspect to speak of with a PC, and I fucking LOVE to fiddle...something like one of these M-audio boxen would REALLy open that up for me. I've been to one of their demo days, where they were showing off the ozonic (on OSX...the video projector fed back through the audio on the windows laptop they had...slightly embarrassing, and a real cunt cos I only got to see it working with Reason not Cubase.)....really smooth piece of kits, particularly the way the controller setups are linked to vsti's. It can TELL which VSTi it's attached to and pull up the right layout...and then for performance you can hot assign..say knob 1 to cuttof on a synth and knob 2 to delay feedback on a plugin.

Mind you...changing fx parameters on the fly is not all that clever on a lot of plugins, or even hardware FX.
