They don't sell Vodka at supermarkets here...

So it's very simple to answer!

We have governmental liquor stores.

yea i noticed when in toronto, and not many around either.hard to get used to that had to get a bus to buy a bottle of vodka or some cans. or phone a unoffical delivery guy to put you on his round and pay him a 2'e extra good service but that was wierd :banghead:

Asda smartprice here aswell, not that I'd ever drink the stuff! Might use it to clean old paint brushes with though :) I much prefer smirnof blue or black. never had enough wedge to buy the grey goose stuff. I saw it in Gibralta for £29! bear in mind blue label smirnof was only £5 a litre in Gibralta.

My supermarket doesn't sell vodka, although it is sold at convenience stores in Boston.

On a different note, how much does a bottle of Bailey's cost, in USD? My birthday is Thursday and I want to buy some alcohol to celebrate. I can't have more than a liter in my room because of university policies.

despite it being labeled a deluxe brand, Gordon's Deluxe Vodka is cheapest here. i threw the receipt away. it was the cheapest at walmart.

like Nicos, I can't get liquor at the supermarkets here in Texas either...we can get beer and wine if the supermarkets are in the right place...but liquors must be purchased at liquor stores...

From the creator of the AK 47. I read in an interview that he wished that he created something peaceful and useful for the world such as a lawn mower! So how does he back up the Autovat Kalashnikov?? By selling vodka!

Last I peeked into the Longs Drugs, Gilby's was going for something like $7 or $8 a pop.

You all do know the Brita water filter "distiller" trick, right?

Sure thing, we must have it very expensive.

Probably 20$ for a 40 Oz bottle.

Taxes here are incredible.. I bought 4 bottles (4x1L) of Vodka on a cruiseship 2 years ago for 20$ US, when I tried to get then in Canada, they were asking for 20$ of taxes PER BOTTLE.

It was Smirnoff flavoured Vodka.

the good shit in moscow is only 50 rubles for .5

@ specs in houston they have a whole row of shitty vodka right at the bottom. most of it is less than 5 a liter.

the lowest form of vodka i use for mixed drinks is a swiss vodka named fris.

my favorite vodka is Ghzelka.

Okay, I'll bite - what's the trick?

If it doesn't involve turning water in vodka without the addition of potatoes, yeast and a whole lot of copper tubing, I'm going to be very disappointed... unless it involves making cheap vodka taste halfway decent by putting it through a filter. In which case, I'm not disappointed at all.

They don't sell liquor in our supermarkets in NY state (lazy bastards!), but the cheapest I've seen in liquor stores..

Barton's Vodka, approx $7 (tops) for a huge bottle. Does the job, but even the smallest buzz leads to a massive hangover :wtf:

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
