Ahh...it's almost time for South by Southwest..

1300 bands spread over 5 days (although Sunday shouldn't really count)

I was really thrilled about the qhole thing...then I found out that whiney, miserable bastard Morrissey is going to be there...oh well...there's one slot where I won't have to figure out who I'm going to miss!!!

Should I even bother trying to make it to the Arctic Monkeys, or are they simply over-hyped?

Gonna have to make sure I check out Belle & Sebastian, Goldfrapp, The Charlatans...

then there are a couple I'm going to have to check ou just because they have cool names...

i'd check out arctic monkeys. Just to say that you've seen them. depends if theres anything else on really.

Loads of great bands gonna be there. Would love to go.

Definately see Arctic Monkeys. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. I saw them in December at Spaceland and they were amazing. Seeing them again next month. Follow up after and let me know what you thought.

In my honest opinion...NOPE...

There are loads of decent bands...but with that many bands playing...there are always some difficult decisions to be made...the scheduling always leaves something to be desired...like three bands that you want to check out are playing at the same time at 3 different venues...

If I didn't live in Austin...I wouldn't be arsed to go out of my way to make it to Austin...
