I made this ceramic piece last week for a charity event. This is my first time painting pottery. As you can see, I used photographic memory for the PC&L design. Check it out in my photo gallery section to get a larger image of it!

P.S. I had no room to write the entire title out.

OK, time for feedback from OTHER NOOLers. Unfortunately, Burt, you are going to see my avatar for a very, very, long time. :D

I might just pop down the local pottery tomorrow meself, and have a go at WFTSC. I'll take a big orange marker pen.

It beats anything I ever managed to do in ceramics class...which, seeing as I've never taken ceramics, isn't saying much :p

But trust me, I suck at artistic endeavors like that (or that's what I've been led to believe by the bourgeois instructors and their "rules" over the years). It's nice, in a "reminds me of a cake" sort of way :thumb:

Um.... maybe it would look better if you took a photo of it in a dark room without a flash?

What was the charity event?

Kudos to you for taking up a new hobby. :thumb:

It was for a cancer club in my school. Everyone painted a pottery piece vases, cups, and saucers, etc. I chose this trivet because it has a flat surface; it's good for a beginner to use.

Not necessarily. I have avatars disabled as a rule. Just had to enable them to see what the fuss was about!

If I've got one obvious complaint, it's that you've stuck a huge PC&L across it. Very un-NewOrderish!

60 m-p-h could be in the top 50 videos of all time aces it is. and so is the trivet. kilned glazes are a right thrill.

Not sure about the bear suits though, and I don't generally like videos where the song is interupted. But I like anything to do with kidnap, especially when sexually motivated.

Funny you should say that....I could generally do without the band being anywhere near their video. However, if you ARE going to have them in it, the only valid purpose is to show them performing their composition live. To that end I adore the video for TPK. Besides...gillian's front panel mixing  :love2: :D:D:D

BiginoiL has the Libertine been released over by you. if not and when it does, and if you're inclined do go see it. has Johhny Depp as the count of Rochester and Sam Morton as Elizabeth racing through the country-side in a horse-drawn carriage. he with his fingers in her mouth. E.-... the last time I saw you you I was a virgin heiress and you abducted me much like this. R.-and did you like it. E.- immensely. hha* on the videos nothing can touch the class of Ceremony, or after becoming N O - anything taped on stage from a show.

Hey, I'm no Peter Saville, but ever since I bought the album, I had the painting stuck in my head. Again, the image that I painted was based on photographic memory since I left the CD at home. get a grip Cozzie. Some of us have been brought up on good art from Sav's early days. I had the same art teacher as Saville as a kid. But rather than knuckle down and get good at art I just used to stab my mate with my indian ink pen. It was more fun that drawing a sea shell. He used to stab me too for the record.

But, no matter what I didnt learn, you aint no Saville

But, what do I know? :\ohwell:

Someone who went goes to one of the best colleges in the U.S. should know not to end her sentence with a proposition.

Jeezus, Burt! What did you use? Frisbee and markers? I like your effort, but it's a bit sloppy. Look at how uneven your fonts are. I recommend you go to your local pottery shop to learn the craft with grace, ceramic paint, glaze, and the good old kiln. :D As a general rule, Burt, the first thing you should do when designing your pottery (or trivet, apparently) is to draw a rough design with a pencil. It's a perfect solution to make sure your font is neat.:thumb:
