Diana Rigg
and
Patrick Macnee
They had chemistry!
Sorry, Uma and Ralph...
OK, but here's a new one. I saw a "behind-the-scenes" trailer of Ultraviolet the other day, and Milla Jovovich was amazingly kick-ass. What do you think about her as Emma Peel? And (still) Ralph Fiennes as Steed?
Bond films are getting increasingly commericial, cutting down the intrigue. Nobody can do it better than Connery and Moore. I'm going to boycott.

Well, maybe Milla but the chemistry has to be right. Ralph (or Rafe, whatever..!) sometimes seems a little prissy to me. Steed must be stylish, cool under pressure, and always a gentleman. Oh, yeah, and he must drink shampayna.

Stylish, cool under pressure, always a gentleman. And no prissiness, and MUST have chemistry with Mrs. Peel. Suggestions for Steed, Emma?

Hmmm, I venture to guess that both of us know that one candidate is a member of the mutual admiration society....

But would he and Milla Jovovich have the requisite chemistry? Or should we continue the search for Mrs. Peel, Mrs. Peel?

Hmm, perhaps a search for Mrs Peel would be in order. Milla might not have the right chemistry with the person I have in mind for Steed.

Let's hope so -- he is, after all, supposed to be a very resourceful fellow capable of finding anyone.
The security of our country depends on it!
Hi Ron! So when are you going to invite me and Comrade to come visit you so we can pow-wow at your fab pad?

anytime.
Bit far to go for a room, but then I've always wanted to see Oz. Pity we won't have time for that.

And of course you're invited to come up to the States if you wish. Driving along the coastline is unbelievably beautiful.

But at least you'd have time to go on your yearly visit to SJC, right?

Hey do you like the song "Mein Liebling, Mein Rose" used on the Avengers, never mind the misspellings in the song title? The song writer didn't know German v. well.
