Here's a good review from NME of the DEC 88 G- Mex gig
The full title of the piece was 'COME AND JOIN THE BARNEY ARMY'.But i had to crop it a bit to fit.

I'll just post the front page of this interview for now.The interview was spread over 2 weeks and i don't have part 2.
NME April 93

NME review of the DEC 87 Wembley Arena gig.I can't help but imagine i must have been one of those "slightly depressive 19 year olds" he mentions:\ohwell:

aww, man, nice there Johnny. reading through..feels good. thanks.Hook, 'She's Lost Control, Atrocity Ex., Lost Souls, Atmosphere.. Closer his all time favourite.. Lou reed's Berlin comes a close second.( off to the record shop we go. ) What New Order do is far stronger than Joy Division but if you're talking about importance to people then they put more importance in J D, which is finished , than on NO , which is happening.'
that scanner is a gem also just enjoying the skyline avatar. J. pls. keep it for a whileJW.http://img410.imageshack.us/img410/6752/citiesinparkad24hf.jpg" class="max-w-full" alt="" loading="lazy" />
It may be smaller than Ron's but, size isn't everything, and it's a good 'un all the same... Thanks for the scans!

Johnny, you are an angel. Loved the Pernod article and the Illinois license tag -- priceless (I have fond memories of Illinois).

try reposting the links, or, you may have to host them from scratch.
i'm looking forward to the day when we can just copy and paste images to the web.
does imageshack only let you upload a certain amount of pics a day? I just tried some more from the Jack mag and when i previewed them before submitting they haven't worked

i don't think so. last week i hosted about 12 pages in one go. you may have to scan them again, if imageshack has already given them a number. what link do you use. i use hotlink 1 for forums. that seems to work just fine. it is also a good idea to register with imageshack, so you can keep track of your images, and delete the link later.
Hmm i never registered.Have no history of pics i loaded.Once i've hosted and posted that's it.
The way i do it is once it's loaded i click on it on the imageshack page and when the bigger pic comes up i right click and select properties and paste the adress

i just copy and paste the link as well. i did register a few weeks ago. i figured i didn't want these links to remain in place forever, as they will ultimately add up to quite a considerable bandwidth usage.
when you register you will get a list of your images, but only those that you posted after you registered.
http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/553/band78dv.jpg" class="max-w-full" alt="" loading="lazy" /> those last ones are great there. the original instruments. are so nice. the images from the first lot have dis-appeared. maybe go back, edit them out, try again or call it a day. did you hit work out the bamboo blind privacy question that you had a while back.

yes thankyou ,J:) i bought a roll down blind which fits between the bamboo and the window. i pull it down at night so nobody can see in![]()
maybe the first post with the NME pics had too many pics for one post.
Dusseldorf December 1987- leans back in DM 240 worth of comfortable armchair and says,' We're the only respected band in music, mate. You must know that"--'there isn't anyone who's comparable to us. You must know that.' yeah. do. great news ! on the pull- down blinds. JW. edit -nice. thanks. but it does take two -or more- to tango . New Order / JD , this site etc., are the best. ![]()
