Bought my atari for 300 quid
Bought Lemming and Oh No More Lemmings for a total of 65quid the next day.
About 6 weeks later I sold em both to the kid down the street cos I couldn't get within 6 feet of cubase cos of a room full of twats yelling "make him a blocker, mkae him a blocker...no not that one, he's your floater"

I've got a few different Lemmings games sitting on my drive. Great stress killer - love the noises they make as they blow up or fall or splat. 
when i was the music director of my university radio station i would spend HOURS in the station's office playing that godforsaken game. thanks for reminding me. bastard.

I still play 1942 all the time, on MAME (multi arcade machine emulator) as well as others. I'm quite an emulator junkie, I never really got over Jeff Minter's rant about newer games rarely being better (in the readme for Llamatron, the BEST game on this planet).
Sadly the Atari version of lemmins didn't feature that amazing "oh no" sample as you set 100 of the wee fuckers to blow up at once.
EDIT: Oh and of course no one EVER learned to use the atari's sound hardware (other than the aforementioned minter), so while those with ameoba games machines got full PCM sound...we got fookin yamaha soundchip music...eeek (BTW...you know the old SID chip that was in c64's and megadrives and all, has now been made into a full keyboard by the guys that built NO's monomachine)
