...although my plans involve a Scorpion-- Montecarlo on your side of the pond. Tear the anemic engine out, convert to an electric-powered enviro-friendly screamer.

Painkillers must've taken hold mate. Surely you meant no sign of Neptune's trident?

See...the thing about italian motors is.....the Italians are geniuses at making a car look, sound and move beautifully. Trouble is, that's all they know, like the saying goes.....buy a Ferarri (r a mazzer) and you'll spend the rest of your life carrying bits of it around. I recall a review in which Tiff Needell destroyed two mazzers in an afternoon's road testing....he never even got to drive like a prick.

A "pure" car? Pure? Sod the lotus7 square it........

I've had the honour of actually touching one of these.....no matter how small and scary you think it is....it's smaller, and that DFV is, even idle, one fucker of an engine. Small green coffin, surrounded by petrol doing 210mph through some trees, yeeeehaw.

But for style...... (and it chokes me to admit it was a yank car with a Brit powerplant)...........

I've never seen a vehicle so beautiful

Well if it’s Brit cars we’re talking, it’s gotta be Aston Martin…

ARRRRRRGGGGGGG! I failed to avert my eyes!

Nevertheless, that seafoam green is close to the celeste on my newest bicycle acquistion, so it's not entirely hideous. Just mostly hideous. :evil4:

Thanks alot, now I'll go cry in my pillow. At least you got the color right.

Sorry, didn't mean to bring tears to your eyes. With one exception, I'm just not a fan of American muscle.

OK, you can stop crying in your pillow now.

The sound of the exhaust, and the jerk of your head back by the shear force of the torque as the tires finally grip the pavement from the 467 ftlbs of torque might change your mind.

The last time Comrade had his head jerked back in a car, it was when his Alfa Romeo was rammed at light speed by an SUV. Comrade rang his head like a bell on the roll bar. Comrade does not want to relive any head-jerked-back experiences.

Now if you want to talk exhasut notes, nothing beats the 50s to 60s Britalian jobs.

And the lines... Did I mention the lines? :shades:

Ah-ha, so that's why you prfer to bipedal it.

Ahh, there's nothing like the interplay between man and well-crafted machine. A bicycle is brilliant in its simplicity. Sheer perfection. And it keeps one fit, and it keeps the air clean, and it's cheaper to run... Lots of reasons to admire the machine.

Can't argue with that. Have a nice mountian bike to take on trails (which is really fun to take ski gondolas in the summer and ride down the mountians).

The thing about the green thing (actually it's the same colour as the alien's puke in "bad taste") is that it's great for American roads....straight, stop, straight, stop, turn 90degrees and straight on to Vegas. Take the same car through Donegal and galway some time LOL. And I do not trust auto's...if a computer AI can't shift gears sensibly i doubt any mechanical system can.

Of course conversely....most european cars would need 3 rebuilds to get down route66.

oh and Asons are built WORSE than Itlaian cars :(

Just to add to the lovely Grale pics i posted last time the subject arose.....

Ha ha. Maybe its Hookys old company car....

I would love one, thing is i have to have a sensible car for work and just couldnt justify the running costs for Sunday afternoon use, i know it was about a grand for a clutch change ten years ago. And im paying 2k a year insurance on a Mondeo so you can imagine what it would be on an Integrale! If i win the lottery im fucking straight up to Walkers to get a red Evo 3

Which resembles the above Bianchi in color only.

British AND Italian cars have terrible reputations for reliability over here. Never stopped Comrade from spending fortunes on them though. :)
