Does anyone around here watch this?

I thought Halifax was a ghost town, but not in the spooky sense.

I watch it occasionally. I am open minded with regards to ghosts and believe our Derek does have some psychic ability. I sometimes wonder if the Crew act up occasionally when nothing interesting is going on. Still good telly if there's nothing else on.

I'm open minded and all....but most haunted leaves me rolling on the floor usually....yet to see anything HAlF as weird on it as some things I've seen in for real. Not seen the other thing tho.

As for psychic ability....if he has some...why hasn't he cleaned James Randi out of his million bucks? (or won the lottery) The things i see and read always sound so plausible, but as soon as you apply the same standards of testing to them that are applied to more normal sciences, they tend to fall apart. And Randi's not a total tosser either as many psychics claim....he did an experiment on homeopathy which pretty much proved it was bunk, and then said that he felt more work needed to be done because there was clearly really something going on.

I don't think it was most haunted, but another simmilar show....actually had my MUM in kinks, and she's VERY much a believer in all such things.

How refreshing to find something I don't 100% agree with you on :D

That would be a really good idea for a programme - invite some bullshit psychic con-artist to come and play about with oija boards and stuff, then rig them so he thinks he's really made some contact with spirits and ghosts. Watch his face as he tries to pretend that he knows what's going on. You could rig sensors up to his arsehole to see whether it's twitching as the ghosts start to threaten to rip his liver out while he sleeps.

75% of it seems genuine to me... 25% a bit of play acting...

Most Haunted seems less genuine than Ghost Towns to me... especially that idiot Karl; Yvette's hubby.

BTW, after Bonzette said my last Skaro-sourced sig was a fine speech...I sent her an mp3 of the last few secs of Genesis (the audio version that ends with the dalek rather than the tv version that ends with the time ring), and apparently traumatized her offspring....All I could say was.....It didn;t do ME any harm at his age (when clearly it did) LOL

I'd flip the percentages actually....but then again I see most TV as faked anyway (cos it is).

And the fact that it's Miss Fielding, or whatever she's called now is NO help to me.... keep expecting her to say "well, for the 373rd time we failed to get conculsive evidence of the paranormal on camera, so next week I'll be showing you all how to make your own ghostie with stickback plastic and a baloon"

Halifax- is also a Canadian city in the east coast province of Novia Scotia. Acadian settlement history etc.
