I don't have one of the flash designer apple mp3 player things but I rather like the idea of the Community2 programs automagically arriving on my machine as and when they happen.

If anyone knows a nice way to do this in Linux (OK...that's only 2 other people who are still reading) i'll love you forever.

If there's a way to do it in windows that doesn't involve huge clunky software that wants to know where all my mp3's are and shit like that while keeping the cpu idling at 79%.....I'll bite the bullet and do it there.

They're not that flash Steve. I own one and I don't reckon I'm flash in any sense of the term. The iPod is simply a good MP3/AAC player and I've had nothing but good experiences with the one I own. My 40gb has done me faithfully for almost 2 years now despite what overly-biased Linux/Nomad owners may like to preach.

I had the good grace to name my iPod "Mr disco" incidentally :smoking:

Ipod=more than I can afford....my mp3 player cost 25quid and has infinite memory, suits me fine :D

they are nice tho, I'm only messing like.

There are plenty of Windoze podcast solutions, but obviously iTunes is mostly recommanded...

Next generation of iPods will be WI-FI and will download the postcasts when available, I'm quite sure of it ;)

I got a wee thing called jpodder, working a treat so it is :D

massive thanks lass.

Jpodder was getting on my tits by not having much in the way of episode control. Juice aint back out for linux....it's still in my software database as ipodder, but fails to install.

But I downloaded the Dos-XP version and it works a treat.

not just a pretty face and a gobshite then eh girl?

:D
