I don't blame him. The Rock N Roll Hall of Fame is a joke. How did U2 get inducted before the Sex Pistols? The whole thing is a sham and finally someone isn't falling for it.

I believe his main arse located thistle is that they were explicitly excluded at some point in the past as being "not good enough" and not that some demographer as said that "punk is coming back" they are suddenly a different band or something and can be alowed in.

Ozzy Osbourne is a walking music trophy cabinet these days, I dunno why he or his fans feel the need to grumble. Mind you, he's an ideal candidate for the "Best Media Whore" or "Most Convincing Human Vegetable" gongs. Inventions such as the R&R Hall Of Fame are just an opportunity for record execs and hangers-on to swill champers while nothing real is achieved... Egos are boosted, creativity is lost and the same records that were in the shops today will still be there tomorrow albiet sporting a tacky "this won/was nominated for an award" sticker on the cover.

Good question. I want them to be inducted, but are there enough Americans who understand how JD/NO revolutionized rock? I hope that they don't follow the same footsteps as the Sex Pistols with their induction.
I watched the Multi-Millionaire Property Developer John Lydon on one of our Sunday morning 'religious' shows a few weeks ago espousing the values of the family unit and saying in no uncertain terms that gay couples should not be allowed to adopt and he didn't believe in single parent families.

Yup it is.
In regards to generating interest I think Blondies on stage squabble caused more controversy than the Pistols declining to appear. I think if he wanted publicity he would have shown up rather than post a handwritten note on a website.
