I watched the premiere of American Inventor on ABC. Who else watched it? Some parts were hilarious, one invention was disturbing, and few were inspriational.
1..antibiotics.definitely--just now over used.
2.soap./ surfactants. 3. coolant/ refrigeration. (no TESCOs w/ out it)
4.oil riggs.-right.-tar was used for roads in the 8th C ! Marco Polo documented it from his travels 13th C. from locating the oiL to extracting, through refining. the whole process of getting a primary fueL. if with oil sands then the same thing but steaming it through the steps.
5.irrigation.-getting water from A--B. raisng its level with a twist up. even to hydro-electric.
6.combustion engine ( diesel / gas). 7. rocket engine.
- light bulb. 9. electric current- storage/ step up/down transformer. 10. glass. 11. airpLane. 12. bicycLe.
edit--five or fifteen...+ birthcontrol, textiles, fibre optics...the day is young.

I have a love affair with sexy dark blue jeans with zippers. The texture, the look, the feel, everything. And if you're going to a party, you can just dress up the jeans with a pair of black stilettos and GO!
LEVIS -501 s ! surely- buttons, buttons go all the way. lots safer too. yet, true- are some nice dark rinse zippered-jeans out there- - shh hijacked thread.
so to inventions- nyLon and tefLon-r- copyrighted also gortex. life wouldn't be very warm or dry w/out them.
