Alright...I'm posting our alleged itenerary for SXSW...let me know if you guys think any of the bands listed are absolute CRAP...or if you think we will find the shows brilliant, becaus none of us have seen any of the acts mentioned below (except for Morrissey)...

Wednesday Toof (Austin, TX) Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly (Southend) Zico Chain Belle & Sebastian Mogwai

Thursday Spoon (Austin, TX) Echo & The Bunnymen Morrissey Special Guest (wonder who it is?) Goldfrapp

Friday Brakes The Kooks Jim Noir Editors Arctic Monkeys OR Ladytron (think it's just a DJ set for them) Snow Patrol

Saturday XFM is doing a Northwest England thing (but I think all the artists are from Manchester) Polytechnic LoneLady Liam Frost the Longcut Nine Black Alps (might skip this one for She Wants Revenge) The Charlatans

and that will be the end for me...I ain't doing Sunday...

thoughts?!?!?!

Belle & Sebastian - good band to see live. Echo and the Bunnymen - same here. Goldfrapp - never seen personally, but others corroborate it is a good time to be had by all.

I'd go for Ladytron, perhaps more enjoyable set than Monkeys (personal pref, really)

And now I wished I'd scheduled time to go visit my brother so I could go to Charlatans. Haven't seen then in a long time. Ah well. Another year.

 Have fun! SXSW was always a blast for me.

Looks good Jeff, though if I were there, I'd be there for Andre Willams, Neko Case, Savage Republic, and Jon Langford. Looks like Peter Case got the Plimsouls back together as well.

Ever been to this event before? Hope ya have a great time, I should imagine the drinks'll be flowing freely.

I saw Mogwai two nights ago. They were so loud, so amazing. they were much better than New Order, Slint, Gang of Four, Pixies, or any of the other bullshit reunions I saw last year. My ears are still leaking fluid from the insane volume levels.

Mogwai=:thumb:, thoughts on the new album? It's a grower, starting to like it more than Happy Songs..., and definitely more than Rock Action, Glasgow Mega Snake is a definite  ...
