I never figured the shooting horses thing.....although I could SO see a simillar policy working in formula1.... at least MR and Mrs Von Cobblers would still have Michael I suppose.
Should shoot all the drivers and drive em like scalectrix. Be more exciting and more crashes ![]()

It costs too much for them to be looked after while their broken legs (usual injury for shooting) heal, and they are pretty useless after that. They keep ones they can use for breeding.

Sounds like you've had an experience with the odd horse Andy ![]()
I like a bet but much prefer betting on flat races. I can't watch the Grand National due to the casualties. If they'd only lower the fences there'd be far less injuries/deaths.

OR, they could spend maybe 0.00001% of their profits and set the bugger's legs and stick em in a field.
"oh, you earned us $5,000,000 last week, but this week you'll cost us some plaster of paris and a bag of feed, guess you're Glue mate, sorry"

£100 says I never have a bet in my life...
You don't call taking on the nurburgring a gamble?
LOL

I really don't think they're genuinely fixable though, are they?! The sheer volume of a horse's weight over the fragility of their bones. And how do you get a horse to keep the weight of its leg for a couple of months?! Crutches?!
Besides, they taste nice. I mean, I've had some quality horse in my time but just imagine getting the chance to tuck into a proper thoroughbred?! ![]()
I'm reasonably sure they CAN be fixed at least well enough for a gentle canter round a field. I'm pretty certain one of the horses kept near us when I was a kid had to have a leg repaired.
Can see your point about crutches tho, hmmmmmmm.
it's a good job they don't go in for it in footie or there would be a hell of a big plot full of Engerland managers ;)
