What I'd Like to Do for Spring Break Next Week: Drink til I can't stand up, have lots of sex with anonymous women who I've never met and will never see again, and go to the beach

What I'll Actually Do Next Week for Spring Break: Try to avoid being called into work (because I neglected to inform the boss-man that Clemson has SB near the end of March), get a haircut or a new pair of shoes (don't know if I can afford both), work on some papers that will be due a week after we get back from break, and maybe...just maybe...try to score a date with an attractive co-worker who isn't the girl I'm in love with (who isn't leaving her boyfriend anytime soon, so I might as well try dating other women. It feels like the last time I went out with anyone, the first Bush was still in office and Michael Jackson was still black), as well as watch "Walk The Line" and "Good Night And Good Luck" a couple more times until I have to return them to the video store (checked 'em both out Thursday).

Realizing that I've spent more time typing this post up than will be spent next week on any of the activities listed previously: priceless

Anyone else have more exciting Spring Break plans (unless you've had SB already)?

Trust me, nothing exciting will happen next week...unless I win the Nobel Prize for bringing peace to the Middle East, the girl I love realizes what a jerk her boyfriend is and gets with me instead, Journey and Foreigner finally join forces to found the most unlistenable supergroup ever, and Jesus bitch-slaps Dubya back into the booze cabinet (which is strangely full, considering that GW's supposedly "sober" these days). :p

My spring break ended a week ago. I spent most of it writing cover letters for internships for the summer - I'm determined not to be unemployed and useless - and helping my mother with her homework, since she started going to community college this semester. Other than that, I listened to plenty of New Order and Depeche Mode and spent a night getting drunk on malt liquor and eating ice cream, in South Philadelphia, while watching Family Guy.

i hate that when the girl u want really bad is going out with some guy. and usually the guy is a proper muff as well which makes it even worse

i go back to work tomorrow. no more downloading films and back episodes of desperate housewives. sad. so sad.

I've decided to postpone the shoes purchase until a week or two into the future, as I have a car payment due Wednesday and that's gonna take up the bulk of my cash flow. Man, it ain't easy being a pimp anymore

i actually started teacher training in a former life. i had even already done two weeks of prac teaching when shit happened.

but when you teach in college, teaching is great... almost cried at all the end of schoolyears. having experienced teaching in schools, the happiest man in school was... me on the last day... with teenagers, that is no work it is something else... keep sane more like !!!

Wet T-shirt contests and beer bongs in the mornings, ahhh...such memories. Padre Island was the spring break hotspot back in college and now it seems like most of the kids are frolicking down in Panama City.

the teenagers are fine. i've chilled at panera bread and pizza hut with a few of my former students (with parental permission, of course). it's the 1st graders (6-year-olds) sucking on your fingers who are a bit alarming!

Hmm, do I smell yet another teacher-student sex scandel here?

My question is, where were these teachers when I was in high school?

Anyway, I've managed to go an entire day without doing anything even vaguely school-related. And I'm proud of that (I typed up a response paper to an essay for one of my English classes yesterday, so that doesn't count). Tomorrow I have to make my car payment, and I might get a haircut Thursday.

Exciting, I know...:D

I have to work all weekend, so for all intents and purposes (though school doesn't start back until Monday) my spring break is over at 1 PM tomorrow (when my shift starts)

But I managed to get a haircut this morning, and I think I'm making some progress in making myself more attractive to my various female co-workers. So it hasn't been a complete waste of time.

I don't know why, but Titanic is on HBO and I'm too bored to turn it.
