Thanks Snoopy, but as usual, no tour for the USA.

I'm not going to pout...for very long.

Emma,

Here to do the same. What is with all the British bands seemingly missing the US lately?

I don't know but this is beginning to suck. Thus far, I only have the Pretenders (I love her voice) and ABC (nostalgic) to look forward to for concerts... and no, I don't want to go to bloody Depeche Mode concert!

There is the Coachella festival though for Bloc Party and Franz Ferdinand (but that's a Scottish band). Everyone else can go see Madonna. :p

I think they will be announcing a US summer tour. I read a few weeks back that they tried to reserve a date in Chicago but the place they wanted to play was booked by the symphony. They had 2 dates here they were trying for.

That was a one bad hiccup

Amusing that tickets went to their mailing list first.

Er, check ebay and see how many of their [cough] 'mailing list' actually intend to be at these concerts! :shades:

Erm, British yes, but only Paul the drummer was born in Scotland so they certainly aint Scottish! Guess Glasgow's just a cool place to claim to hail from. Fuck knows why cos it's shite.

I'm heading to Glasgow at the end of April for the Morrissey gig. Looking forward to visiting Glasgow again, haven't been there in a about 6 years.

One of the most depressing things in life is returning from somewhere exotic and hearing the first Glasgow accent at Terminal 1 of Heathrow as you wait for your connection home. Wouldn't live anywhere else mind.....

then again, why have glasgow when you can have cumbernauld?

I'm on the WASTE mailing list but I didn't hear anything from them. Not that it matters, I won't be in the country anyway.

Let's see, within a fortnight of my leaving there'll be Morrissey in Manchester and now Radiohead in Blackpool. Incredible timing :banghead:

Remind me what you said about two people hijacking a thread for their own private conversation. :evil4:

Aye very good! You and the lad Sludden should lay off the wisecracks and buy me a pint for that wee tip I gave you both on Sat. Down to 34 on Betfair and Totesport suspended betting on Monday. The bread might come in handy for a wee Meditteranean trip.......:thumb:

It's down to 36. I've just eaten up what was available at 38's.

As for Mediterranean jaunts, if this doesn't come off I'm flying over to Benfica personally to have several words with the cnut.

It's a done deal, isn't it? They're bringing a manager the same nationality as Romanov. Am sure I read that. Think he was lined up for next season before they'd sacked Rix anyway.

The Sunderland one is interesting. Can't believe Quinn is so far ahead in the betting.

Interim boss Ivanauskas is currently 4/1 second favourite for the job behind Souness who is at 3's. Nevio Scala has been widely tipped though and is a tempting 7/1.
