It was a precious group from the new british pop with tracey voice ,they produced just a stuff pop ,in 88, i got the LP crash and
"thru the flowers", was a creative ,very ,very
"ocean blue" the voice from nowhere ,the dreamin way
"i'll stick with you" cute single
"dreamwalk baby" the sensuality is straight ahead!
"out of reach" my favourit one

Early shit was good, pre-Crash, Really Stupid, Thru the flowers (on Lazy recs)etc.. Paul C. was a well cool looking geezer i though. Good if you like jingle jangle,velvets style pop like byrds/sarah recs etc.. Later stuff became a bit poppy. Not a bad turn live though

Liked some of theirs stuff.Crash is the only song name i can remember though,
Another girl fronted band from the late eighties were good also ,The Darling Buds
that's a well late pic of the buds, they were a four piece when i saw them.
been listening to the primitives demos recently, i'll agree, the early stuff (pre crash) was good, the last album got a bit more trippy

Was Tracy Tracy not one of the main promoters behind a massive club night in the late 90's. "Chuff Chuff" or summat similar? I remember her getting interviewd on that late night clubbing program presented by Dave Dorell.

Lovely is well worth getting - one of those slightly strange albums/bands of the late eighties/early nineties that weren't 100% indie, but weren't massively POP either (Darling Buds also spring to mind), but if you like Crash, then there's plenty of other stuff on Lovely that sould tickle your fancy... I have it on LP signed by the band, one of my fave music-related possessions...

at last,sinec more 10 years the group seems lost something. No inspiration,no ideal, hte same thing happen to the other group

another girl group was heart throbs, with their album cleopatra grip. dreamtime was a good single.

pop said was ruined by the production, the band themselves were never happy with it. ah happy couldnt care less student days, seeing them in burberries in birmingham & chatting with them as a very pissed andrea autographed everything within reach, including the tables we were sat at
